Operations dashboard

The main cockpit of Gitera — KPIs, activity heatmap, performance percentiles, failures, queue monitoring, and the status board.

Open in Gitera

The dashboard is the first page you see after sign-in. Everything on it respects the repository filter and time range.

Overview tab

  • KPI cards — total workflow runs, success rate with a trend arrow, failed runs, average duration, and estimated runner spend.
  • Activity heatmap — pipeline volume by hour of day and day of week; good for spotting cron spikes and quiet windows.
  • Top failing repositories — repos ranked by failure rate, to focus triage effort.
  • Slowest workflows & jobs — the pipelines that consume the most wall-clock time.
  • Trigger distribution — split of runs started by push, pull_request, schedule, or workflow_dispatch.

Performance tab

Duration distribution curves and p50 / p90 / p95 trends over the selected window — the fastest way to see whether pipelines are getting slower before regressions fire.

Failures tab

Recent failures grouped by error category — the operational entry point into the failures workflow.

Activity tab

A run-by-run timeline stream of everything that happened in the window.

Queued jobs tab

Jobs currently waiting for a runner. Long waits usually mean a saturated runner group — see Runners.

Status board

Mark mission-critical workflows (for example production deploys) as favorites to pin a compact status strip at the top of the dashboard.

DORA tab

Delivery performance metrics for your designated deployment workflows — see the dedicated DORA metrics guide.
